Acid Pilgrims

Lots of Fun and Some Serious Stuff

Release date

September 30, 2011

Acid Pilgrims originally released their debut album, Lots Of Fun And Some Serious Stuff, September 1st 2010. Now it has been treated to a new mix and remastering, and is ready to be presented to the public once again. “Pug-Nose Records is a more established and organized label now than when we first signed with them. So when they offered to reissue the album we just had to jump at the chance,” Andreas Nergård explains. “Their CEO, Kristian Singh-Nergård, mixed and mastered the original release, and he has done a few tweaks to the mix and remastered the entire album for the re-release of Lots Of Fun And Some Serious Stuff. I think it sounds much better and I feel that it’s appropriate to give people a new introduction to our music before we begin recording our sophomore album.”

The album is a great showcase of technical skills as well as great song writing skills. The band was formed by Andreas Nergård while he literally studied “rock” at Trøndertun Folkehøgskole in Norway. Andreas has written all the music and he plays all drums and percussion, but he also handled some keyboards and bass. With him on this release is Ruben Aksnes (bass), Hans Henrik Grønsleth (keyboards), Eiliv Andreas Myren Ribe (violin), Andre Aamås (guitar), Eirik Kråkenes (guitar) as well as a guest performance by Anne-Katrine Wagnild (vocals). Lots Of Fun And Some Serious Stuff takes us on a journey through jazz fusion and progressive rock.
