2015 saw the release of Nergard’s second album, A Bit Closer To Heaven. Like its predecessor it featured a diverse style of music. From the monumental opening track “Light and Shadows” the music constantly evolves throughout the album from pure heavy metal to AOR and pop-oriented tracks. The critically acclaimed single “On Through the Storm” which features Elize Ryd on lead vocals spearheaded the release of this album. Besides Elize Ryd the album also includes a lot of other well-known names, such as the power metal legend Ralf Scheepers, prog metal icon Nils K. Rue and the amazing Michael Eriksen among others.
